One of the most common questions I hear is: "I feel better — so am I done?" Sometimes the answer is yes. Sometimes it's worth a closer look. Here's why the two don't always line up.
Symptoms are one piece of information
How you feel matters. It's often the reason you came in, and a change in symptoms is genuinely useful information. But it's one piece of a broader picture that also includes how you're standing, how you're moving and how you're functioning day to day.
Different things change at different speeds
It's common for symptoms to ease before posture and movement findings shift — and occasionally the reverse. Bodies adapt over months and years; those adaptations don't always reorganise on the same timetable as pain.
Why reassessment matters
This is exactly why care at Restored Living is reviewed rather than set in stone. At reassessment, we look at your symptoms, your findings, your function and your goals — together — and decide on the next appropriate step.
- Continue as you are
- Modify the approach
- Reduce frequency
- Move to self-management and monitoring
- Refer to another practitioner
- Conclude care

The bottom line
There's no one-size-fits-all timeline. Your care should reflect your findings, your progress and what you want — and it should be reviewed as those things change. Read more about our approach or see what to expect at your first visit.
